

To prevent accidents at work with hand tools it is necessary to follow some basic rules:
- use only high quality hand tools;
- choose the hardness of the material the tool is made of according to the purpose it has been intended for;
- use the hand tool properly;
- use insulated tools when you work on devices under voltage;
- use fire - resistant tool where is a danger that a fire may break out;
- when transporting hand tools to the work place use appropriate containers, especially if you work high above ground;
- protect blades of tools from accidental damage;
- do not leave tools on dangerous places (for example close to moving or rotating parts of machines)
- examine all tools before and after use;
- mend or replace the damaged tools.
