Unior as a training partner for obtaining the National Vocational Qualification of drop forger

In the last two months, a training programme for obtaining the NVQ National Vocational Qualification of drop forger has taken place at Unior public limited company. The programme included 32 employees from Forgery I and Forgery II.
The Slovenske Konjice – Zreče School Centre was awarded the license to implement the procedure for obtaining the professional qualification of drop forger. As a training partner, Unior acquired the conditions for the implementation of practical and theoretical training and examination. The examination is performed by a three-member commission that was awarded the licence by the National Examinations Centre in Ljubljana.
After successful completion of the NVQ training procedure and examination, qualified forgers at Unior will be granted the official position of DROP FORGER (certificate) as proof of their professional knowledge and skills.
The National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) system is a statutory procedure for obtaining a publicly valid document of national vocational qualification. The occupational standard for the occupation of “drop forger” and the Catalogue of standards of professional knowledge and skills were drawn up in 2010 through the cooperation of Unior, Slovenske Konjice – Zreče School Centre and the Slovenian Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
The aim of the NVQ Drop Forger is to improve the level of education and training of drop forgers (both practical and theoretical) and establish a systematic training procedure for recently recruited candidates for the forger position. The completed vocational qualification will serve as proof of occupational competence for recently recruited and less experienced employees and as a condition for promotion to higher pay grades. The completed vocational qualification is an official document and is also valid outside the company.
The training focuses on renewing and upgrading knowledge in the field of AQ and CPV, forging technology, basic quality, D-parts and the basics of metallurgy. The course on the basics of metallurgy is new, while the training of the handling of D-parts has been expanded.
